‘Eeb Allay Ooo’ for Panorama section in Berlin Film fest


Mumbai, Feb 18 | The Indian film “Eeb Allay Ooo” has been selected for the prestigious Berlin Film Festival, to be screened in the Panorama Section.

The film is directed by Prateek Vats had its world premiered at Pingyao International Film Festival in China. It also won the Golden Gateway award at the MAMI film festival, Mumbai.

The movie is about a Bihari migrant who is hired as a monkey repeller by NDMC.

“Eeb Allay Ooo” had its Indian Premiere in MAMI competing against eight other films..

The film marks the debut of Shwetaabh Singh as producer. An Elated Singh said: “Content is not the king, the names attached are not the king. But, when it comes to cinema, it is the treatment that is the king. I believe, with the right treatment you could even raise mediocre content to brilliant cinema. With ‘Eeb Allay Ooo’, the story and concept were already good; the treatment just took this film to another level. I hope to garner the same love at Berlin Film festival as we have so far.”

Some of the popular Bollywood movies screened at the Panorama Section at the Berlin Film festival include “Gully Boy” (2019), “Sairat” (2016), “Highway” (2014), and “Kai Po Che” (2013).

Bangalore, April 02, 2020 : The nationwide lockdown to combat Coronavirus outbreak in the country has led to severe difficulties for the poor and homeless people. In an effort to help the needy, Greenwood High International School, has come forward to do their bit to the cause. The school have undertaken the initiative to prepare food for 300 underprivileged families every day and distribute  in and around Sarjapur area with the help of Sarjapur police station. This would be a continuous support from the school authority towards the needy people until the lockdown ends. While distributing the food, the school authority also followed the social distancing norms and ensured that necessary precautionary measures like masks and gloves were used in the entire process to provide clean and hygienic food to the people.

Speaking on this initiative, Ms. Niru Agarwal, Trustee, Greenwood High said: “As much as we believe in inculcating the values of benevolence and philanthropy among our students, we practise these ourselves too. Greenwood High has always been compassionate to help those in need and we continue to do so.
